Flower of the Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus, “Opuntia Humifusa”
Many visitors to Hancock’s Resolution are surprised to see this cactus growing quite happily on our sandy soil. In fact this one type of cactus grows as far north as Southern Canada and along the East Coast of the United States. It is a low-growing perennial that likes full sun and well-drained soil. As you see, the flower truly is beautiful.
Admission
Most events are free, but a small donation is suggested. For some events there may be a service charge.
